Cooperativa Sulá Batsú

Sula Batsu is a social economy initiative founded in 2005 with the goal of encouraging and strengthening local development through work with organizations, social enterprises, community networks and social movements at Central America and Costa Rica. The Cooperative is made up of professionals from different areas who are established into work teams according to the needs of the social groups and the organizations that we support. This entrepreneurship works under the self-managed cooperative model, with the vision of exploring new ways of managing associative entrepreneurships interested in social action. In this way, its associates are at the same time workers and owners of different positions in the organization. The Cooperative specializes in four areas: Digital technologies for development. We strengthen the citizen action of groups, networks, movements, organizations and social enterprises through their appropriation of digital technologies. Knowledge management. We promote the exchange and collective construction of knowledge, making it free and open. Art and culture for social transformation. We use different artistic and cultural expressions as an engine for change and support to social processes. Social economy. We promote a social economy as an alternative for the development, especially for the most vulnerable populations.
